Church Basement Feel

If you're a local, you know there's very few 'gay-oriented' establishments in this city. This was the first one I've ever been to, lured by supposed nice people and good foods including the review they had the 'best wings in the city' and great staff. Upon entering the established I noticed the decor was rather drab and rundown, you can tell the place hasn't been renovated recently as it resembles an old church basement with rainbow flags on the wall. I went in, took a seat with a group of people I met up with, then found out I had to order my food/drinks at the bar, not uncommon especially with pubs, I was fine with that. So I went up to the bar, ordered my food through a very indifferent bartender who refused to look me in the eye and was literally emotionless. Strike one against the service. So I went back to my table and waited for my food. Roughly 15 minutes later, a semi-cold turkey burger and fries came out and was served to me by someone who shouted out 'turkey burger' and then passed it to me with a slight smile, if this is what the previous reviewer calls amazing staff, they are beyond generous, and impressive space? Perhaps if you spent a lot of time in church basements! I did enjoy the fries although they were soggy but the turkey burger was almost inedible, I sent the most of the burger back after a couple of bites. I also noticed a few of the people I was at the table with had the wings, since it was wing night, considering the wings were a little bigger than a pinky finger I didn't think 35 cents a wing wasn't much of a deal. The seating at the pub was incredibly dated and old, and yes, gave off that 'church basement' feel I mentioned already. It was karaoke night, I didn't stay for the start of the show, left well before, but I seen the bartender setting up the equipment with almost a dire look on his face. Considering the awful state of the place, disappointing service, and unfriendly cliquish people I met up with (which didn't impact my review, honestly), I left the establishment as soon as i gave back my food. I know I'll never be back here again nor do I recommend anyone else go either. Walking back to the train station I looked into a chain restaurant just down the street, seen people laughing, having a good time and waitresses/waiters clearly appearing to enjoy themselves, I knew then that's the place I should have went to!

Edmonton's Newest Bar

I used to love coming here when it was Boots. Was good food and nice casual decor. Now that it's the newest bar in Edmonton, I hear it's even better.

Affordable and Excellent Service

I've eaten at the Junction cafe a number of times and have been in the bar twice. The menu for the bar and the cafe are the same. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Service is excellent in the cafe and very good in the bar. An affordable place to have an enjoyable evening.
