THOUGHTS FROM THE ARTIST:
Gay Pirates is a collection of exaultations and lamentations of a very gay love. I started writing it one valentines day, when I felt like there weren't any love songs that spoke to my personal narrative as a gay man. As an artist I endeavored to write with a sense of plyafulness, all the while placing a strong emphasis on text. I hope that the music will guide you through introspective thoughts, make you giggle, and help you groove.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Evan is an Alberta-based singer-songwriter, actor, and vocal instructor. His compositional style is playful yet cerebral, placing a strong emphasis on lyrical content. Evan is at home on the stage. He has performed for the Canadian stage premiere of Dr. Horrible, he has sung for the Edmonton opera chorus, and he regularly produces and performs cabarets. Evan enjoys performance and sessional work as a back up singer, most notably singing back up vocals for Josh Groban. Evan is beyond excited to release his inaugural EP, entitled Gay Pirates.
